2017-2018 REGISTRATION

REGISTRATION

 

Before you register, please be aware that all parents at Legacy must agree to the following:

 

  • Fulfill assigned job(s) and be available to provide additional assistance if needed.
  • Remain within Legacy boundaries the entire time your children are at Legacy.
  • Adhere to Legacy policies and expectations, and enforce them with your children.
  • Pay tuition for classes on or before the Tuition Due date.
  • Submit a copy of the Declaration of Intent to Homeschool for each child in your family age 8 and older who is attending Legacy.

For more information about these requirements and other Legacy policies, please carefully read Legacy Policies.

 

New Family Registration:

  1. Please review LEGACY POLICIES AND EXPECTATIONS.
  2. Determine whether your children are being homeschooled according to the Home-Based Instruction law, RCW 28A.200.010. For more information, please visit the WHO web site at www.washhomeschool.org.
  3. Complete and sign the Registration Contract. The contract, which must be filled out completely, includes an agreement to abide by Legacy policies which must be signed by the parent/legal guardian and by any students born prior to May 31, 2005.
  4. Complete an Add/Drop/Request for the students you would like to enroll.
    • Class availability may be found on the Class Schedule page of the Legacy website. If a class is waitlisted or full, you may request to be placed on a waitlist. You may not be confirmed in a class and remain on the waitlist for a different class during the same hour.
    • You may register your child for any classes that are listed within your child's grade/age limit. Student grade/age is as of September 1, 2017.
    • If your child is outside the grade/age range for a class that you would like to ADD, please download the Exception form available here and follow the instructions on the form.
    • When you sign your child up for a class, please do so with the intention of having your child remain in class for the entire year. We understand there are situations that make it necessary to drop a class mid-year; however, please keep in mind that this may have a negative impact on the teacher and other students in the class.
  5. Write a check for $155.00, payable to Legacy Homeschool Center, to cover the registration / building use fee. This fee is nonrefundable / nontransferable.
  6. Class payment is due at the time of registration:
  7. a) Provide one nonrefundable check per student per class, payable to each teacher for the materials fee.

    AND

    b) Provide one check payable to Legacy, for two month’s of tuition fees, for each requested class. (This pays the tuition for weeks 1-4 (nonrefundable) and weeks 29-32 of the 2017-2018 academic year.)

  8. Bring your completed Registration Contract, Add/Drop Request Form(s), registration / building use fee, and class payments to the Processing Center at Legacy on a Friday while we are in session. Processing is open 9:00am - 12:20pm and 1:00pm - 2:00pm.
  9. Provide a copy of your Declaration of Intent to homeschool to the Information Desk on or before September 29, 2017.

 

Enrolled Family Registration Changes:

To Add/Drop a Class:

  1. Complete an Add/Drop/Request for the students you would like to add/drop.

To ONLY Drop a Class:

  1. Email info@legacyhc.org "ATTN: Processing - Drop Request" with the Student Name, Class Title, Class Time, Teacher Name.

 

 NOTE:  You will receive email confirmation once your registration or add/drop request has been processed.
